It woul seem odd that he was born in Reading, the family moves to Lancaster City, then back to Reading only to ive there from 1860 onward. If they were incorrect, then the informant on his death cetificate mislead me and a cousin of mine who've been working on identifying his parents for God knows how long. I only started doin genealogy in 1999 and met my cousin in 2002, both of us being stumped on who his father was, thinking he died prior to 1860 and Benjamin being born in reading when he could have possibly been born here in Lancaster. Then the family moving to Reading. Leaving him behind to apprentice for a smithing trade. If he is Benjamin & Mary's son, then he named his children after his siblings, James, Margaret, & David. He named his children James Parke, Margaret L., & David Alfred. It now ! makes sense who he named them after. I also have a picture of my Benjamin, his daughters and an unidentified man seeming to be about as old as himself, if not, a few years older or younger and possibly being a brother to him, maybe David, since it was taken after 1900. Now that I have the info you gave me, things are starting to click that were mysteries to me or that I was confused about. I thank you for all that info. Hopefully he does belong to the family of Benjamin & Mary. Then I can place my Benjamin and put the puzzle together and link him and his father to James & Mary Keenan of Barneston, Chester Co. James had a son Benjamin, born about the same time as the other Benjamin born in the early 1800's. Definitely thankful for your help. I appreciate it. Alot.
