My guess is the census takers didn't ask too many questions, they just guessed how hold someone was and if they looked male or female. The censuses would be more accurate if they tok the time to ask questions. Would make it alot easier on us researching our families. I guess they didn't see that coming at the time. In regards to a burial date for your uncle preceeding his death, I suppose they were in a hurry to put him in the ground. In other words, putting the wagon before the horse, so to speak. misinformation is a nice roadblock, just wish there weren't so many.
