    3. The Berks County Recorder of Deeds has an online index that covers 1752-1968 at: http://www.co.berks.pa.us/recorder/cwp/view.asp?a=2367&Q=502792&recorderNav There's deed listed for the transfer of a property in Windsor Township from John Hinkel to Philip Hinkel., 1820, volume 35, page 165. It was recorded 16Aug1825. This could be your John's father or uncle. You might check for other Hinkels and also for Biege's and consider contacting the recorder to see about getting the copied and sent to you. It's probably pretty inexpensive once you have the volume and page numbers. Don Don Krieger Pittsburgh, PA http://DonsList.Net Everything on the site is free and permanent. Loading is very fast. Each page includes a highlighted copy/paste link which you can use for easy online citation.
