I found a very interesting deed recorded in Berks County, which names names, relationships and places. This would be considered a primary source as an image of the actual deed is available for viewing in the Berks Recorder of deeds index on line. Berks County Recorder of Deeds, Berks Co., PA DB 506 page 406 Recorded Aug. 21, 1920, written June 2, 1920 Party of the first part: Orville D. Keenan and Ida F. Keenan his wife; Harry N. Keenan, and Laura Keenan, his wife; Joseph M. Keenan and Mary A. Keenan, his wife; James V. Keenan and Carrie Keenan, his wife all of Reading, and Charles E. Keenan and his wife Mary of Weehawkin, NJ and Elizabeth Griffith and A. Walter Griffith her husband of Youngstown, Ohio Party of the second part: Annie C. Bettig, Widow For the consideration of $3,000 for all that certain 2 story brick dwelling and lot situate on the West side of Pearl St., between Bingamen and Spruce, being No. 326, lot size 15 feet by 100 feet. It being the same as Thomas D. Ayers and wife by their deed of April 24, 1891 (Vol. 211 p. 153) granted to William Blankenbiller and said William Blankenbiller died intestate leaving a widow Mary Blankenbiller, his parents Jacob and Margaret Blankenbiller, and siblings who on May 6, 1893 released and granted the same to Mary Blankenbiller (DB 208 p. 501). Said Mary J. Blankenbiller died intestate in January of 1920 leaving to survive her the parties of the first part as named above, to whom the tract and dwelling descended.
