We can't find any information about his family either. Catherine and Amos had at least 10 childdren supposedly born in Orbosonia or Dover, PA (family records vary) - Alexander, 1812; George W., 1816; Rachel, 1818; Valentine, 1830; Amos Hartley, 1822, etc. We descend from Rachel who married John T. Dorland, born 17 Jan 1816 in Huntingdon, PA to Joseph Dorland and ELizabeth Woodburn. One record notes that Rachel and John married in Milcreek, PA in 1940. Their first child, Margaret, was born in Huntingdon, PA about 1845. Do you know of any good sources online for the kind of information I'm looking for?
