Penn, Reading. According to the census, they were the parents of your James W. Keenan (b. 1906). I also found their obituaries in the Reading Eagle. They had only 3 sons, James W., Bernard R. and Earl and in 1957 had only 4 grandchildren. James V. Keenan here had only 4 siblings surviving him: Mrs. Walter Griffith of Ohio; Harry N.; Joseph and Orville. Do you have any idea how the rest of the Keenans you list are related and is it possible any of them are still living? Reading Eagle, Reading, PA Monday, October 6, 1924 ILL SIX MONTHS James Valentine Keenan, aged 54 years, 7 months and 22 days, died of a complication of ailments at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at his home, 33 Grace Street, Eighteenth ward, after an illness of six months. Mr. Keenan was born in Reading and lived here all his life. His parents were the late James and Kate Keenan. He was a member of the Reformed Church, Camp 663, P.O.S. of A., Reading Chamber , No. 26, O.K. of F., Reading Nest of Orioles and the Washington Fire Company. He was last employed by the Columbia Cutlery Company. He was a polisher 44 years. Surviving, besides his widow, Carrie M. (Matz) Keenan, are three sons, James, Earl and Bernard, all at home: one sister, Mrs. Walter Griffith, Youngstown, Ohio, and three brothers, Harry N., Joseph M. and Orrville D., all of Reading. Reading Eagle, Reading, PA Friday, May 17, 1957 Mrs. Karrie M. (Matz) Keenan, 78, widow of James V. Keenan, of 107 Lancaster Ave., Shillington, died yesterday in Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, a daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Reed) Matz, Mrs. Keenan is survived by three sons: James W. and Bernard R., both of Reading and Earl, of Cedar Top and four grandchildren and a brother, Harry of Reading. Her husband died in 1923[sic]. Funeral Monday at 11 a.m., in the parlors of T. C. Auman, Inc., the Rev. Samuel C. Jaxheimer officiating. Burial will be in Aulenbach's Cemetery Bernard Robert Keenan and Adrienne May Wolf applied for a marriage license in Berks County on June 10, 1943 (Vol. 141 p. 35). An estate file was filed for Bernard R. Keenan of Lower Alsace, Berks Co., was filed on Nov. 17, 1985. His wife Adrienne's estate file was filed April 14, 2006. James W. Keenen and Helen I.
