Aetna (formerly called Wohleberstown) Bicentennial Celebration Saturday, September 11 - will include a parade, carnival and fireworks, along with various musical perfomances throughout the day. Sunday, September 19 - there will be a special service at the church known as "The Little White Church." Saturday, September 25 - a self-guided driving tour of the various historical buildings in and around Mt. Aetna. In October, the Salem Reformed Church in nearby Bethel (formerly called Millersburg) will be celebrating its 200th anniversary with a two-day celebration. Saturday, October 9, events will include a prayer breakfast, cemetery tours, carriage rides (a nominal charge applies), luncheon, a recital by Adam Dieffenbach using the church's historical Dieffenbach organ (which was built in Bethel), and a concert by Debi Wahl. On Sunday, October 10, there will be a special service, with a number of Salem's former pastors officiating, followed by a luncheon. Additional info can be found at salemstjohns.org.
