    3. Family often write up the obit and funeral homes submit them to the newspapers. I have gotten obits from funeral homes when I couldn't find them anywhere else and not even RAOGK was successful. May be they were not on strike. Reading Library has Times microfilms. Some how it seems unlikely a funeral home would have an obituary when there was no newspaper to print it in. There was of course the Boyertown Times/Democrat whatever. The Hamburg Item. Pottstown Ledger/Mercury. But suspect if he lived and died in Reading and immediate suburbs, and the Times was also on strike, there is no obit. At least most people were reached with a 5 digit phone number. Guy
