    3. As I understand what you said in your two post, I would first try to find your Great Grandparents in the 1900 through 1930 census. If you can find possibilities, you may then be able to track back a couple of generations. You should check the City directories directories for all of the people whose names that you have found. In many city directories it list not only the parents but the school age children. Once you have some names, check the cemetery pages like Find-a-Grave. In some case they will have more information than dates or births and deaths. Check the library where her parents lived, the newspapers where you may find birth announcements, and similar sources. Find the genealogical societies in the area where the family lived, some have goldmines of information, others are a bust. Finally post all of the information that you can publish about the family to this and other list servers, message boards and forums, include names dates, and locations. There are thousands of people with names you may consider unique. All of the sources I mentioned can be found on place like Ancestry. While the fee may be high, compare that to the cost of gas to visit the many place you will be looking. One last thing. Don't accept the information in online trees as gospel, especially if it takes the family back to the Mayflower, and an English King or a 1000 years, because there are probably more errors than facts. However don't disregard them as in all myths there are pieces of facts that my lead you to the facts that will allow you to properly document your family.
