    3. Guy, I think you are right about R. H. Angstadt being Rudolph H. Angstadt, based on follow up on the sale... DB 307 p. 579 March 31, 1896 Rudolph H. Angstadt of Lobachsville and Esther his wife sold 3 tracts of land to George Weidner of Lobachsville...1 containing 88 acres 11 perches except 1 a 1 perch sold to Ellsworth Reinert; No. 2 containing 8 acres 94 perches and No. 3 containing 5 acres 53 perches....the three tracts being part of three tracts which Seth A. Brown, Administrator of Anna Lobach and Executor of the last will of Sarah Wily, granted to Rudolph H. Angstadt and Franklin Breidegam (who confirmed his interest to Rudolph H. Angstadt on July 28, 1894 intended to be recorded). Part of Tract No. I was later sold to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lobachsville, which makes perfect sense as a portion of the meets and bounds on Tract 1 in the above deed had it surrounding St. Paul's Church land. DB 1323-0422, written February 26, 1959 George R. Weidner and Rose his wife Minnie R. Levengood and John S, her husband to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lobachsville Containing in area five and six hundred three one-thousandths (5.063) acres ....being a part of Tract No. 1 of the same premises which Rudolph H. Angstadt and Esther Angstadt, his wife by their deed dated March 31, 1896 and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds in and for Berks County, PA, in Deed Book Vol. 307 p. 579, did grant and convey unto George Weidner, also known as George A. Weidner...who died February 26, 1958 and by adjudication and decree of distribution ( OC File No. 48087) in the estate of George A. Weidner..was awarded as follows: An undivided one-half interest therein to George R. Weidner, son of the decedent and one of the grantors herein, and the remaining undivided one-half interest to Minnie R. Levengood, daughter of the decedent and one of the grantors herein...... Betty

    3. I found this as a place of birth for Daniel H Feger Jr. (His sister, Francisca, married my great grand uncle Sydenham E. Ancona in 1848) I was searching for her ancestors and found 2 generations. I wonder if Mt Olive is in Alsace Township which is where the Anconas lived from about 1830 to 1854. Does anyone know where Mt Olive was? Sara A. Straub

    3. George R. Weidner and his sister Minni R. Weidner Levengood (wife of John Levengood) were still living in Lobachsville when I lived there from 1951 to 1955. George owned the general store at Lobachsville, with his wife, Rose. They had no children. Minnie lived in a farm adjoining the store building. Minnie and her husband, John Levengood had two children -- Pauline and a son, Donald. Minnie was the organist at St. Paul's church, and led the choir there. There was another Weidner who lived in a separate large stone house on the other side of the store. I know he was kin. He was not married and was older than George - so I think perhaps he was an uncle. His name was Harry Weidner He died in around 1954 and was buried in St. Paul's church in Lobachsville. What was, I believe, the old hotel, across the road from the store, was at the time I lived there no longer in the hands of the Weidners. It was a beautiful large old stone house which was placed high up on the bank of the creek that ran through Lobachsville. 3.   I was told several years ago that the marriage of my 3rd great grandparents took place on 6 Oct 1822 at Christ Oley Lutheran Church in Berks  Co.  I cant seem to find a coy of the book or microfilm that contains this record.  As the date is complete, someone must have seen the record somewhere.  The couple is JACOB KEMLER & CATHERINE HECK.  They seem to have lived in the area of Oley and Ruscombmanor and have a connection to Aaron & Esther Parker.  Jacob & Catherine's daughter Mary Kemler married Joseph McFarland.  Their son Joseph Kemler married Susannah Sanders and lived in Carbon County.  Daughter Elizabeth married X Washburn and lived for a while in Monroe County. Has anyone seen their marriage record? Forever searching... Maryann

From: eric.m.snyder@comcast.net To: snkgenealogy@hotmail.com Subject: posting on Berks County Genealogy Site Date: Mon, 18 Feb 2013 16:39:09 -0500 Hello Sharon, I have joined the group, but it does not seem to take my account. Would there be any way for you to put a posting for me on this Berks County list? If so, I am looking for a birth/baptism of a Jacob Schneider/Snyder. His death record indicates he was born on March 16, 1781. Everything indicates he father was a Jacob Schneider Senior and I believe most of his siblings were listed in Schwartzwald Reformed Church, in I believe Alsace twp. I have looked a few years ago and found nothing. Thanks in advance if you are able to post this. Eric Snyder

    3. I have looked through the estate records and Deeds. There are two deeds in which John Christian and his wife give property to Daniel and George. The property is adjacent to each other. There is no relationship stated in the deeds. In the 1850 census George Berger and family are in the same household as Christian and Salome and Daniel Berger and family are in the prior household. The map of Upper Tulpehocken from 1860 shows the families living next to one another. I have also looked at the estates of the children and their spouses and found nothing to establish to link to the other siblings or parents. I thought others doing Berger research may have found Bible or other personal papers in their research. Thanks for the suggestion.
