I think it a good idea also to keep in touch, you never know what might come up. In my husbands line his cousin had two professionals plus herself and her mother, both of them school teachers working on their DICKENS line. She even said "a generation missing here" when writting a family history. My husband insisted they were doing a good job but I just kept quiet except to say the problem may be a spelling change. Cousin was working on 2 counties using DICKENS, I found the marriage certificate in one of the counties with DICKINS, Later I found the family in a third county on the 1850 census with their known great grandfather and a great uncle the cousin knew about from her father and the name was spelled DYKANS. I also found the Fluke name spelled 3 different ways in the same persons will. Thanks for your info on this line . All of these Boyers are buried in the graveyard at Amityville. " Nellie can be used as a nickname for Eleanor....... I don't see Jeremiah on the list of burials at Amityville Lutheran cemetery posted to the Berks board, but it is only a partial list. http://www.pa-roots.com/~berks/cemetery/AmityvilleLutheranChurchCemetery In marriages at Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading: Jeremias BOYER, Exeter, to Eleanora GERST, Exeter on 2/12/1832. Now GERST is KERST in my family lines. But I don't have an Eleonora who married a BOYER in my tree! G and K are often interused in surname spelling. I do have KERSTs that were in Exeter, but I do not know who this Eleonora is a daughter of. I will have to do some research for her family! I have an earlier Eleanor KERST b 1801, dau of George Kerst Jr and Mary Ergood, who m Samuel MILLARD, and went to Columbia Co PA. She was also known as Nellie, Ellen and Elinor...... Hi Betty, I think this is the correct Jeremiah. By 1852, Jeremiah, Isaac & Henry, Executors of the Will of Mary Bunn, were deceased. William Uptograve was the guardian of Jeremiah's "only daughter" Catherine. Children of his brother Henry S. Boyer (wife Caroline) were Charles Henry, William Valentine and Anna Maria Boyer. Their guardian was Harrison Ludwig. Hannah Boyer and her daughter, Julia Ann Boyer, were the other heirs. Jeremiah Hine became Administrator "de bonis non" of Mary Bunn's estate in 1852. The Inventory of the goods, chattels, etc. of Mary Bunn [8 August 1836] states that she was the widow of the late Jacob Bunn, deceased. Jacob's wife Mary is buried in St. Gabriel's Church Cemetery. I don't know where his first wife, Catherine Meck, is buried. Re: the 1850 & 1860 census - that was regarding Jeremiah's wife, Eleanora/Ellen/Nellie. According to the Amityville Lutheran Church Cemetery, where Henry K. & Hannah Boyer are buried, Henry was the son of Valentine Boyer. Thanks again! Jane, I checked my list of burials at St. Paul in Amityville, and don't find a listing for a Jeremiah Boyer, however on page 26 a Jeremiah is noted in three other burials. Nellie Boyer wife of Jeremiah Boyer (b. Dec. 30 1807 d. Dec. 12, 1883) age 75-11-13 Mary Ann Boyer daughter of the late Jeremiah Boyer & wife Eleanore (b. June 7, 1835 d. May 29, 1850) age 14-11-22 Hannah Boyer daughter of late Jeremiah Boyer & wife Eleanore (b. Dec. 3, 1832 d. Feb. 22, 1850) age 17-2-19 There is a will on file for a Jeremiah Boyer, 1840, Amityville, Berks County, 31 pages long. Copies can be had for a fee. Betty

This one was born in Oley, Berks County about 1820 and died in Pottstown, Montgomery in 1904. County. Pottstown Daily News, Pottstown, PA Friday, February 26, 1904 Jeremiah H. Boyer, an aged resident of Pottstown, died yesterday at the residence of his son-in-law, William H. Stetler, No. 449 High Street after several weeks' illness, from a stroke of paralysis. He was aged 84 years 2 months and 5 days. He was born in Oley township, Berks County, and from his youth up was widely known as a violinist of no samll worth. It was a great delight to him even in later years to take up his favorite fiddle and play some of the old familiar dance airs, such as "Davil's Dream," "Arkansas Traveler," "Money Musk," etc. He had probably played for more country dances than any violinist in this section of the country. I am seeking information on Catharine SEILER who married George CHRIST in Trinity Tulpehocken Reformed Church, on 15 November 1801. I have been told the church is in Berks co and also in Lebanon co PA. There were Seyler/Seiler families in Tulpehocken, but I have been unable to determine Catharine's parents. I do have a George Christ and wife Catharine witnessing a baptism in Schuylkill co PA. George's brother Simon and wife Elizabeth Braun/Brown were in Schuylkill co at the time.
