If you would be willing to help me in this way, please contact me off line at farnswfw@suddenlink.net Most of my ancestors seem to have been in the Greenwich Township area originally and then "spread out" to adjacent townships/counties. 3. Fred, I know that some researchers use all capital letters for surnames. Maybe some feel they are easier to read or stand out in an e-mail correspondence. Happy searching and researching everyone. It's wonderful to see the sharing of information. Nancy Rambo, Runkel, Hoffmaster, Romig, Brophy, all Berks County

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: HolliePoley44 Surnames: Eisenberg Kopp Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.berks/9921/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Does anyone have a copy of this book and would they be willing to do a look-up? I am looking for information on a Lawrence Eisenberg and Mary/Maria Kopp who were married there in 1790. At the time of the marriage they were both listed as being from Douglas. They had 1 daughter Catherine who might have been christened in the church in 1791-1792. Mary died in 1792, but place of burial is unknown. Lawrence is buried at St. Gabriel's next to his 2nd wife. At time of marriage or child's christening were any other members of the family mentioned? Is Mary's death recorded with place of burial? Any clue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. 3. This is something I have often wondered about as well.  I believe that, on the whole, society has decided to just not take the time to capitalize when they should, not to mention proper punctuation.  I think that it really helps those of us looking for a specific name to see all of the letters in the surname capitalized.  Otherwise the posting may be thrown away without seeing if someone is in their family tree. I agree with Nancy ... it is good to see someone else care about this. 3. Berks County is Northwest of Philadelphia. If you do a MapQuest from Albany to Reading PA you will get the mileage and approximate travel time. Reading is the largest city in the county, and kind of central to everything else there. It won't take you a couple of days to get there, but if your aim is to do research, you might want a couple of WEEKS once you are there! And you will need at least that much time to enjoy the good PA Dutch food! -----Original Message----- From: paberks-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:paberks-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 6:20 PM To: PABERKS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PABERKS] Where is Berks ?
