    3. I've done some research at Charles Evans and they are very accommodating.  They keep their records right on site and the staff was very helpful.  They looked up my great-great grandmother, found her in the files, and then circled the area where she was buried on a map and pointed me in the right direction.  The place is huge so this was a really big help.  Good luck!! --- On Sat, 3/5/11, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: PABERKS Digest, Vol 6, Issue 58 To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, March 5, 2011, 3:00 AM ==== PABERKS Mailing List ==== When replying to a digest message, quote only the specific message to which you are replying, removing the rest of the digest from your reply. 1. [PABERKS] Northampton County HECKMANs
    2. All, Looking to resolve once and for all WHERE the Norhampton County PA HECKMANs fit in the HECKMAN family tree. These folks came to Northampton County in the mid-1700s, eventually settled in the Drylands area - known today as "Hecktown" (could the town have been named after them?!?). Descendants include the Civil War Bigadier General Charles Adam HECKMAN and his brother, the Reverend George C. HECKMAN, and their ancestors - like Adam, who fought in the Revolutionary War, is said to have crossed the Delaware with George Washington, and who later opened a bar in Easton. Other relatives are equally as colorful! I suspect that the Northampton County HECKMANs are related to the Berks County PA clan, who are from Rothenberg in Odenwald, Hessen, Germany - but I need your help to prove that! I would be very interested to hear your family stories, and I'd especially like to hear from those HECKMANs who beleive they are descended from the Northampton County clan. Thanks, Jeff Heckman [email protected] http://sites.google.com/site/heckmanfamilysite/home

I have been trying to find them for over 30 years and in my grandfathers note there was a reference to a Francis. My name is Sally Scott and my E mail address is [email protected] I live in Newton NJ and I hope to hear form you. There is was a Mary Ann in this line of mine and an Aaron too. My line was John Grant married to Maria around 1790's They had children Samuel, Rebecca, another daughter, Jacob, Jeremiah, Charles, Maria, Bartolette. Maria named one of her sons Aaron. I know possible speculation. But a girl can wish can't she. have a good night.
