I think the death date she quotes was for a younger Johannes Hassinger. My Theory is that he died sometime in the 1850s or 1860s. That's why I was wondering if you had anything in the Zion church records that referred to him. The birth of his son and the marriage of his daughter are well-documented on many websites, but I was wondering if you had any information about any other church records. I assume you are implying that there is no burial record for him at the church? thanks, Joe Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. There are 2 HASSINGER items at Moselem Church. These may be the same bapt & marriage you already have. Johan Peter - b. Nov 1, 1748, to Johannes HASSINGER and wife Maria Catharina REINER, baptism on Dom. 2 Advent, sponsor was Johan Peter GLUCK Catharina Elisabetha - single daughter of Johannes HASSINGER, married Feb 24, 1752, to Michael UNGER, single son of the sainted (deceased) ______ UNGER of Wolfenheim. Note: Stoudt gives her name as Catharina, but Early gives it as Christina John Humphries in PA Births in Berks County shows Johannes's wife as M. Cath. (REINEKI) at Moselem Church. Humphries also shows: Peter HASSINGER became father of Maria b. 22 Aug 1779 with unknown wife, per Zion United Ch in Perry Twp. Herman HASSINGER & wf recorded 3 children at Altalaha Luth Ch in Tulpehocken: Anna Maria 19 Jul 1763 Johann Jacob 19 Mar 1760 Johannes 13 Aug 1765 Martin & Smith in Berks Co Wills to 1800 don't show Johannes/John HASSINGER, but he may have moved to another county. They do show Peter HASSINGER as marr. to Eva Mary dau. of Adam FUCHS in FUCH's will probated Aug 7, 1797 in Colebrookdale. Jan B.
