Nancy I have Runkle in my Robinault family and Dubs Families. Do you connect to any of these. Sue
No thank you on the "any" state. This is the family I was legally adopted into in 1949. The first to come to America is Nicholas Runckel. He settled in Bern Twp area and I have some tax records dated mid to late 1750's. A few stayed in Berks, Reading area and some went to Lebanon where they farmed and then became master shoemakers. From there they went to Dauphin County which takes me to my dad, Wiliam L Runkle, Jr. I did not know about the Schwarzwald cemetery and now know that I'll be cemetery walking in the spring to photograph the tombstones if there are any. The only early one is in the old cemetery at Salem Belleman's Cemetery, for Jacob, son of Nicholas. I suspect if I were to post them all I could be in violation of a copy write with the Reading Eagle. Actually just the one is a violation, but I'll risk it. I am searching for an early resident of MaidenCreek, Berks Co. Is there anyone that can help me find whatever records there might be about this twp.'s history. My connection lived there in the mid 1700's. I found a reference in Ben Franklin's Gazette dated 1740, that my relative's house burned down. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Donna

I have been unable to find out any additional information on this William. Would someone have access to these records and be able to tell me if he died, or what became of him. Did he marry, have children, or my thought is that he might have died in infancy, and where might he be buried. Any information on this William would be of great help to me in putting together more of this line. Thank you, ART Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
