I gleaned the following about Winifred's father, mother and 3 brothers from the US Federal Census 1900. (except my father says that Rose was born on April 4, 1958.) - Daniel Fair, b. Mar 1854, Roll Turner, Owned Mortgaged House. Rose A b. Apr 1857, wife, both parents born in Ireland. 4 Children were William J., b. April 1876, Laborer, Inn MNCo. George, b. April 1887.     3. lancaster examiner june 14, 832. at reading,, thurs. evening last, in his 80th year. joseph hiester esq, formely gov. of this commonwealth upper salford. montgomery co. the property of daniel hiester, native of westphaila who arrived with his brother joseph in america in 1737 having been preceeded a few year by his elder brother, john. daniel hiester settled in goshenhoppen and raised 4 sons and 1 dau. he died in 1796, age 82. and was the uncle of gov. joseph hiester. daniel hiester's sons were, john, daniel, gabriel and william. they all svr in the rev. 3 became officers. john and daniel hiester became members of congress, the former from chester co., and the latter from berks co. And apparently there is one near Leinbachs, marking the Hiester Mansion, part of the Berks County Welfare Farm. Wonder if mansion still stands? The newspaper closest to Barto, was pubblished in Boyertown but was not established until 1859. Both of these papers were published all in old German script and are difficult to read. There are some transcripts of Der Bauren Freund although I don't know which library has them. Probably the Schwenkfelder. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Florence just an infant at the time the photograph was taken.
