    1. Re: [PABERKS] Social Security info
    2. Well he was married and had two grown children, one is in Graterfont, the other one is living in Bethlehem but has not returned my emails. We have never met so he may be a bit suspicious as to why I am suddendly popping up. His mother lives with him. His father was an ex-con which is why I never met his family. I had only met my uncle once and spoke to him on the phone almost 8 years ago when my mother passed away. I think he worked "under the table". Not confused about the SS card just commenting on the information they didn't have which I thought they would. In a message dated 4/3/2008 7:37:11 P.M. 2. The form does give parents' names Go to the SSDI website and put in a known SS# belonging to someone deceased (probably the person you are seeking info for)---- when the person's info comes up, on the right side of the screen you will see a place where you can order the form. SS-5 Letter). The last time this was discussed I believe the cost to obtain it was $35, but not positive about that. Dori **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. 2. Karen Fox
    3. Through April 30, 2008 there is free access to Alexander Street Press's Civil War Reseach Online Database Collections. No need to register, the information details & instructions for use are on this page: http://alexanderstreet.com/resources/civilwar.access.htm I hope someone will find this useful - I found great info about 2 of my gr-gr-grandfathers, their companies and battles fought in one of the databases. When one of my gr-gr-GFs died in 1905, 4 of his old comrade in arms acted as pallbearers and I was able to get info about them and their sevice as well. Regards, Karen from Berks
