I'm trying to find out information on the LOWRY, SMITH, and COCHRAN families. I know quite a bit about the LOWRYS. William LOWRY [1760-1842] moved from Chester County, PA to Big Beaver Township during the 1780s with his wife Sarah WILSON. I don't know if any of William's siblings moved with him. William and Sarah had a son named Adam LOWRY [1792-1843] who married Rachel SMITH. Adam was born and raised in the Big Beaver area and died tragically from a farming incident. I have no information on Rachel, and I'm guessing that her family was from Big Beaver. I don't know if Adam had any siblings. Adam and Rachel had a son named William B. LOWRY [1821-1904]. I don't know if there were any other children. William B. married Sarah COCHRAN, who later died, and they had a son named Joseph Frazier LOWRY. Sometime before the start of the Civil War, William B. and Joseph Frazier moved to Lawrence County, PA because that is where they enlisted in the 101st PA Vol. Inf. The family later moved away several years after the end of the Civil War. I don't have any information on the COCHRAN family, nor information of any other siblings for Joseph Frazier. When Joseph Frazier LOWRY died, his wife Jennie McFARLAND had the body shipped back to Beaver County for burial. Does anyone have any information on the SMITH and COCHRAN lines in Beaver County?
