For those of you who are far more experienced that I am and that is probably most of you.....suggestions please.....How do I prove that someone belongs to the family I am looking for... My problem..... The Diocese of Pittsburgh on a search sent me the following baptisms of the family name OConnor....now this Machael O'Connor was married to a Elizabeth O'Keane....the OKeane name is one I am researching...however they cannot prove that Elizabeth is one of my family...I'm not even sure..I would have passed this info by except that one baptism of a son Roger Patrick br 9 Aug 1885 and baptized on 15 Sept 1885 has as sponsors a Richard Welsh and a Mary Ann OKeane....[this is the name of my GGranny and Richard Welsh is the father of the man that married my GGrannys future husband John Henry Joyce/Joice....sister Catherine Mildred Joice/Joyce....] This was all done at St Cecilia's RC Church in Rochester Pa....the O'Keanes family church....and this particular Joyce family..and Welsh family Where can I go to find out how and if she is related....or is this a dead end for me? Something tells me she is but I have no idea how to go about proving it....I can't connect to anyone on line re this family or off line either...Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of a death certificate on her but I have no idea when she died and not sure where to go to have that done...Beaver or New Castle Thanks Sharon Tx
