Jean, Have you written to County Hist or Gen society? I wrote to Potter Co. Hist Soc for an address to write to for census info and ended up with a manila envelope full of info on the person I was hunting for. Worth a shot, especially in the counties with smaller popoulations. Probably wouldn't work in Allegheny Co. or the Philly area. Good luck.
