The 1850 Census shows this: James Bell age 43; Maria Bell, 43; Eliza A. Bell, 21; Joseph K. Bell, 19; Benj. G. Bell, 16; William G. Bell, 15; Jas. G. Bell, 12; John S. Bell, 8; Geo. A. Bell, 6; Thomas K. Bell, 3; Saml W. B. Bell, 2/12 (2 months). The 1860 Census shows this: James Bell, age 52; Maria Bell, 52; Joseph Bell, 29; James J. Bell, 21; John S. Bell, 18; George A. Bell, 16; Thomas H. Bell, 13; Samuel M. Bell, 10; Martin C. Bell, 6; Mary McCurdy, 75. The 1870 Census shows this: James Bell, 62; Maria Bell, 62; Martin(?), 15; Ida Rhodes, 9. I do have some family stories as to who his mother was and what happen to the father and will share those with anyone who has an interest in the family.
