This is being posted to both Beaver and Butler County mail lists because it involves both. I am looking for information on the early life of my ggg-grandfather, JOHN CONRAD STAMM (1756-1838) and his two sons; DANIEL (1783-1843), and JOHN CONRAD, JR. (1785-1863). They settled on a farm near Camp Run in Franklin Twp., Beaver Co. in 1807 and remained in the area for the rest of their lives. The story of their lives before 1807 is a mystery...at least it was never passed down through my branch of the family. They were German, of course, but where were they born, who was the mother of the boys and what happened to her, and were there other family members? Those are just a few of the many questions that I have. I'm hoping that this request will put me in touch with someone, perhaps another descendant, who can give me some information or advice.
