I'm looking for relatives of my husband's grandfather, who was from Beaver County, Pennsylvania. His name was John (Jack) King, 1892-1970. He might've changed his surname, his previous surname possibly being Schiley (or something that sounds like that). He said his parents' names were Frank and Catherine. He had a younger sister. He married my husband's grandmother, Mercedes Turner, in 1927 in Amarillo, Texas. They'd met in Denver, Colorado. He was divorced by 1927 & had had two children from a previous marriage, their names possibly being Frank & Catherine. His son is said to have died on the Bataan Death March during WWII. John King was in the Navy. He sailed in Teddy Roosevelt's Great White Fleet and was a carpenter. I know this is not much, but if this sounds familiar to anyone, I'd appreciate hearing from you. I've combed the Beaver County census records but haven't found many Kings. He was said to have an accent, possibly Dutch. Thanks, Gina gmikel@jump.net
