Clif, My "problem" this time regards the Hartzel family. I have a will that mentions land "in Westmoreland County"; however, the son turns up in Franklin Township, Beaver County. It appears that Franklin and North Sewickley and Marion townships were above the Westmoreland line. The will is important because I don't have what I consider a conclusive link between the Montgomery and the Beaver county people. I'm still not turning up much new. I found some interesting information on my Nye line (into which the Peirsols married). I'm been running that down the last few weeks. I tried to go to my local library's genealogy room. I now live in Fairfax, Va. I figured that it should have something on Hampshire County. However, it was Monday - President's Day - and it was closed. I don't know when I'll have a chance to get there again. It's only three miles away but my time is so tight right now. I'll keep you updated. I still plan to make a thorough search of the western Pa. records this spring and summer. I'll keep you updated on that, too.
