Beaver County was created out of Part of Washington and Allegheny Counties in 1800. For addition information on it's history visit the county site at: http://www.co.beaver.pa.us/index.html Jeff Bobin -----Original Message----- From: Brian Bowers [mailto:brianingrid@hotmail.com] Sent: Saturday, February 20, 1999 9:19 AM To: PABEAVER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PABEAVER-L] early, early history Hello, Was Beaver County ever considered part of Westmoreland County? Perhaps before the establishment of Washington County in 1781? Or was the land that became Beaver County still under Native American control at that time? I have an ancestor in Montgomery County who mentions land in Westmoreland County in his will in 1795. His son turns up in Beaver County in the 1830s. Would it be worth my while to check Westmoreland County land records to find the property that was later in Beaver County? Thanks.
