Hi Tom, (I thought others on the list may also benefit from some of this).... unfortunately I have not been able to review your attachment ... I think I have deleted a file that I need to "associate" it to - and haven't figures that part out yet but.... see below: Bolesville: Located on Junction Stratch. John Boles operated a Boatyard here. Early 1900's - 200 people here. Children attended school in Sharon at school where the United Way now is. the school was torn down to make room for the United Way building. Some teachers there: Orpha & Dora Wallace, Miss Beeman, Mr. Bryan. Another---- Bolesville:` Bolesville was located on the east side of the Big Beaver River. There were approx. 25 houses and families with a total population of about 200 people in the late 1800's and early 1900s. there were two boat yards at this location, one of which was operated by John Boles for whom the village was named. $20,000 - 30,000 worth of business was done here annually. There was also a steam saw mill with one run of stones for the grinding of grain. The children from these families attended school across the Beaver River at the old two-room Sharon School. I also see it is referred to as "Boalsville". Hope this helps.
