Do any of you folks researching McAllister have anything on a Leigh McALLISTER and his wife, Agnes? There is supposed to be some connection between them and my IRWIN line, but I haven't gotten far enough yet to figure it out. Their adopted son William Raymond "Ray" was my grandmother, Gertrude IRWIN's second husband. I have been told that, through the adoption, Ray and my grandmother were first cousins, but this has yet to be documented on my end. They had no children, but I have copies of his adoption papers and such, as well as further information on his life after he and my grandmother married. This marriage would have taken place sometime in the 50s I believe, because I recall celebrating their 25th anniversary in the mid-to-late 70s. Does anyone know anything about these folks? Sorry, but I don't have pertinent dates at hand right now, except that Ray was born abt. 1905. (Sorry for those of you who subscribe to several lists for the duplication of this message.)
