    1. [PABEAVER-L] 19th Century Marriages of Beaver Co., PA
    2. G. R. Tafini
    3. Cheryl PILLAR asked a question last week about marriages in Beaver Co., PA. I don't know if anyone helped her yet. I have a book: 19th Century Marriage Registrations Beaver County, Pennsylvania Compiled by Publishers of Beaver County Records Helen G. Clear, Sladys G. Schmidt, Mae H. Winne. Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number 82-90024 It is an index that covers 30 marriages that were recorded Oct. 1852 - Sept. 1854 and 6,235 marriages from Oct. 1885 through Dec. 1900 that were recorded in the Marriage License Dockets at Beaver County, PA. The index identifies the record number, the date, and the name of the couple. If a record is in the index it would be a good idea to obtain the Marriage Record to see what additional information that it contains. It may provide birthdates or ages, place of birth, names of parents, and information about previous marriages. I did a quick look and did not find Hattie Jones Bowser. If Cheryl could clarify what her aunt's maiden name was and her husband's name I will check again. Notice that the records start in Oct. of 1885. If they were married earlier in 1885 there won't be a record for them. If other Beaver County Researchers need some look ups please contact me directly at gtafini@tir.com and identify the full names of the couple that you are looking for and their approximate marriage date if you know it. I will probably get many requests so it will take me a while to respond. I will post a summary of the successful searches to the PABEAVER list unless you request otherwise. Regards, Gary R.
