I am doing research on the Truman Smith family; Truman was born 1809-11 in PA or Mass; married 1st Eleanor Jane Gamble; children; FrancisM. George W. Eliza Edna, Josiah R., James T. Irvin, Philander, Eleanor Jane * Margaret O. Most of the children were born in Beaver Co. PA and the family is there in the 1850 Census. He married 2nd; Debra Gribben born in PA. they has 3 children born in West V. There seems to be a Truman Sr. & Jr. One was killed by indians. the family seems to be pioneers of this area according to one of the childrens obituary.
