Hello, I don't know the McClain family that you ask about here, but I have a female ancestor named McClein/McClean who married a man by the name of Baker in Allegheny County in Pennsylvania. Her birth was about 1800. That is all I know, but I continue to search. There are not manly families with a name like this, so perhaps we will find a connection.
