There definitely were Scot-Irish in western PA way before the Rev. War. I have Scots ancestors in Wash Co and Fayette Co. There were many Scots frontiersmen in and around Washington [the town] These people were clannish and liked being on the frontier as far away from government as possible Regards Gene
