To the JOYCE researching the PA. Civil War units and possibly these the 111th Regt PA Vol; the 83rd Regt PA Vol; the 64th Regt PA Vol; the 145th Regt PA Vol; and the 64th Regt 4 Cav DO YOU KNOW IF ANY OF THESE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE WAR EARLY AT FT. DONELSON, TENN---IN 1862? I am looking for a unit that was in that battle that had members from the Blawnox area in Allegheny Co. I have a JAMES PHILIPS CAMPBELL from that area or possibly from Robinson Twp when he joined up that was wounded in battle on Feb 17 1862 and died during the night of th 18th. This information is in a PHILIPS Family Bible that does not list what unit JAMES was fighting with. The Park rangers at Ft. Donelson said he is not buried there or not listed as being one of the troops. In fact they claim that NO Pennslyvania unit was in the battle. Do you know where the above listed units served?
