I was just sent a copy of a page that says my great-grandfather Tobias Finkbeiner born July 15, 1849, died January 16, 1925 and was buried in New Salem Cemetery, Sunday 18, 1925. Minister Rev. Harold Hammond, Beaver, PA. Is there still a New Salem Church? Where is the cemetery? (I live in Mercer Co. so it would make a nice Sunday drive.) Another clipping was enclosed that had the written date- Age 62---May 31, 1912. It reads: "We report with sorrow the death of Mrs.. Tobias Finkbeiner, one of the older members of Calvary. Mrs.. Finkbeiner had been failing for sometime, but it was not thought that the end was near. On the afternoon of May 31 she passed away. The funeral services were held on the third of June and her body was laid at rest in Woodlawn cemetery by loving hands the same afternoon. We assure the members of her family of our sympathy in their bereavement." This is Tobias' wife. Are Calvary and Woodlawn in Beaver County or are they in Allegheny County? Joanne
