Hello, I'm new to the Beaver County list. I'm looking for information on the families of Nye, Piersol, Graff, Gerwig, Hartzel, Stilly and Lesnett. Each lived in Beaver County at some point during the 1800s (and some up to this day). Here's my rundown on each family. NYE Andreas Neu, immigrated from Germany in 1733. Andew Nye, b. 1750. Michael Nye, b. 1785, m. M. Ann Piersol. Sampson S. Nye, b. 1810, m. Ruth Piersol. Michael Nye, b. 1836, m. Harriet Hartel. Victor P. Nye, b. 1886, m. Mary Graff. PIERSOL Sampson Piersol, b. 1764, m. Susannah Kastor. Jacob S. Piersol, b. 1785, m. Rachel Stilly. STILLY/STILLE Jacob Stilly, died about 1779. Tobias Stilly, b. 1769. HARTZEL George Hartzel, born c. 1813, married Charlotte Stamm. GRAFF John Michael Graff, immigrated from Germany about 1850. George Adam Graff, b. 1854, married Anna Maria Gerwig. GERWIG Jacob Gerwig, born about 1803 in Alsace. Immigrant. Jacob Gerwig, born about 1827 in Alsace. Immigrant. Married Sarah Erb. LESNETT/LISNET Christian Lesnett, immigrated from Germany. Frederick Lesnett, b. 1758, married Isabel Wilson. Christopher Lesnett, married Margaret Van Order. Dell W. Lesnett, b. 1831, married Emeline Potter. POTTER William A. Potter, immigrated from England. A few of these families wandered back and forth across the borders of Allegheny, Lawrence and Butler counties over the generations. (I'm also interested in the Belles and Moyer families, who lived primarily in Butler County.) I have compiled quite a bit of information about most of these folks but am always looking for more. I'm also very willing to share the information I have. Brian Bowers ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
