Today I was going through VERY old genealogy notes my grandmother wrote in the 1940s. She spent many years (and there are letters from one woman going back and forth for 12 years) trying to find out about the family of David Clark(e) Elizabeth (Betsy) Bell Clark(e) was born 14 Aug 1787, place unknown. She married John Marshall in Beaver County and their children were: David Clark Marshall, John, Margaret, Marvin, and Hugh James. Hugh was born 1 Dec 1831 and was my grandmother's grandfather. The question always was who was the David Clark(e) who was Elizabeth's father? He was born 16 Feb 1767, place unknown. He died in Beaver Co, now Lawrence Co, PA on 1 Apr 1846, and is buried in Wilson Cemetery. He married Mary McKee b 16 July 1789, place unknown, who died 3 June 1846. Anyone know about this family? There are hundred of notations pertaining to David Clark and I have always wondered if she was on the correct trail anywhere. Thanks, Barbara Prior Jameson Monument CO
