I realize I am probably in lala land but I will ask this question anyways.... I can't get a death certificate for my GGrandfather nor an obituary or anything so far I 've tried....the cemetery where he is buried doe'nt have his records as they had a fire in the late 1800's and some records were lost..now here is my question What mortuarys were around in Rochester Pa . in the yr 1884...? There is bound to be a list of them and I doupt that any are still in operation but someone might have bought them out and has the records....If I knew the ones that were operating at that time and who might have their records then maby I could write them and ask them if they still have those records and if they could check and see if they have him in their files...How far in lala land am I?
