Julie, Do you know that Sampson Kerr's daughter, Eliza married a Washington B. Reed, of Holt, PA. According to this Sampson's wife's name was Agnes. Hope this tidbit helps ya. This tidbit is in the bio on same: Washington B. Reed on page 883 in Warner's Beaver co. PA History (1888) "Washington B. Reed, farmer, P.O., Holt, is a native of Beaver county, PA, born Jan. 14, 1825, a son of James Agnes (Baker) Reed; former a farmer, latter a daughter of Michael Baker, of this county. They were the parents of eleven children, Washington B. being the ledest son. He remained on the home farm until twenty-one years of age, receiving a common school education, in 1851 married Eliza, daughter of Sampson Agnes Kerr, of this county. To this union have been born seven children, all now living: Lizzie Alice, John Allen, Lewis Washington, Cornelius Weygnantd, Sampson Kerr, Harriet Isabella, Agnes Marie. With the exception of twelve years our subject has always lived on the farm which he now owns, originally consisting of 200 acres, now 150, of which 100 are under high cultivation. Mr. Reed is a member of the Presbyterian church. All his life he has been one of the leading Democrats of the county, though never aspiring to any political office, but has served his township by filling several township offices to which he had been elected." She was born about 1817, so the marriage would certainly have been after 1830. PA Marriage announcements (1830-1973)..That was a typo mistake and I apologize!! The dates should be 1830-1873 NOT 1973. Since then, I have received several requests for searches for dates later than 1873. I'm sorry, I cannot help with those. I am new to this list. I am trying to find the marriage location, and any information about the life of my gr aunt, Linda Jane PERRY, to Thomson Harris LYON, about 1900-1912. She was from Liverpool, England. They lived in Southampton, England in 1912, and Brooklyn, NY in 1920. They later moved to Rochester, PA, where his family lived. She died about 1940, he sometime later. They are said to be buried in Zelianople. I would be grateful for any information about them, and can exchange information with anyone else researching this family.
