Connie, Do you have any information on that Behler/Beeler family in Beaver Co PA? A John Behler/Beeler married Susanna Lawrence in Franklin Co IN. She was daughter of Philip, Jr and Mary C. Lawrence who also were from Beaver Co. I didn't find them in the 1840 census in Beaver Co, but did find them in the 1850 census in Franklin Co. IN. Also listed in 1850 was Susanna's sister Margaret Lawrence who had married John Havice, no doubt in Beaver Coas their first 3 children were listed as born in PA. In the 1860 census Philip is gone and Mary C. is living with John and Susanna Beeler. His occupation was listed as engineer and born in Baden. Three children are listed, Mary C 11, Elisabeth 9, and Lucinda 5. Have just found a descendant of John and Susanna's daughter Elisabeth and she is searching for more information. Their children were listed in the 1860 census as born in Pennsylvania, and I assumed that was an error since they were married in Indiana. Perhaps they did return to Beaver Co for a time and then back to Indiana. Any help appreciated. Marian
