Dear List, I am new to the list. I am planning a trip to the above courthouses and would like to know the addresses for them. I didn't find a rootsweb list for New Castle, that's why I am writing this list for both courthouses. Are the old records, about 1850, kept there? Is there a special section to visit at the Courthouse? I think that there are no birth records for such an early date, but perhaps property records are there. I found an address for the Beaver County Genealogical Library in Beaver Falls. Is it open daily? Is there an e-mail address for it? Thanks for help with any of the above. Darlene

Darlene, Depending on what your looking for, I would recommend the family folders in the Beaver Co Genie Library first. Have your names, birth and death dates on a simple list (File Cards) so you don't waste time looking in your files. Make a wish list. Items in order of importance. Search wisely, i.e., Don't go to Beaver County to read Beaver County Census Records.. Sometimes the gold mine is in the spouses surname folder. What Surnames are you looking for? Maybe the List can give you a jump start.
