    3. Notes on Thomas Clifton: Born about 1783. Came to Beaver County, from Washington County, PA. Married a Mrs. Sarah Hunter. They had five sons and three daughters. He died on 4 Aug 1854, in the 71st year of his life, and was buried in Service United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Raccoon Township, Beaver County, PA. (Under T. A. Clifton, Page 836, Beaver County History, Warner, 1888, and Service Cemetery Listing) Mrs. Sarah Hunter Clifton Born about 1786. Maiden name is not known. Referred to as Mrs. Hunter in one reference. Married Thomas Clifton and they had five sons and three daughters. She died ten days after her husband, on 14 Aug 1854, in the 68th yeear of her age. She was buried in Service United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Raccoon Township, Beaver County, PA. (Same source) Children: Martha L. Clifton - (20 May 1814 - 24 Dec 1863) - married Thomas G. Searight (3 Feb 1814 - 20 Jun 1890) - She is buried in Service. Eight children. Thomas Clifton - (abt 1815 - 11 Dec 1848) - married Mary ________ (20 Feb 1817 - 19 Jan 1888) - Both buried Service - I show one child John Clifton - (24 Nov 1818 - 22 Jul 1865) - married Rachel McHenry (_____ - 1872) - Six children - John and daughter Martha buried Service. Rachel does not appear to be there. Sarah M. Clifton - (abt 1825 - 24 Sep 1877) - Buried Service Mary A. Clifton - (abt 1826 - 19 Aug 1842) - Buried Service Plus three unidentified sons.
