I am researching Moffitts in Beaver prior to 1860. I never knew anyone else on the list who researched them though. My Moffit was John Moffitt, born in Ireland in 1788 and naturalized in Beaver in 1801. Married to Sarah Weiser, but where and when I am not sure. I believe it was Beaver abt. 1821, but I have never been able to find the records. They had 8 children, one died in Beaver between the 1850 and 1860 census. the remaining 7 relocated to Jackson County, WV by the 1860 census.
