My Milton Josiah Hamilton b. 1823 was born in Beaver Co., as was his wife Sophia Lyons. At some point, they moved to Meigs Co., as did Sophia's parents, Katherine Eaton and Samuel Lyons, as there is mention of them also in Meigs Co. History. Anyone know what was going on about 1870-80 that would have enticed people to leave PA?
