Are you referring only to 1930? I am fortunate enough to live 2 hrs away from the National Archives in Laguna Niguel. There they have the city directories for most & even what I consider small cities. You look up by surname. The clerk was most helpful in narrowing down what pages the streets would be on. I can't remember the system he used. If you go to a LDS Family History Center then you have to order the directories on film. That's expensive & tedious. I only wish I was able to get to Laguna Niguel often.
