Cindy, Thanks for the information, but I am wanting to find records earlier than that for my Havice/Hebeisen family. There are some records at Zelianople in the edge of Butler County PA for some of the Havice children, but the older ones were born before this particular church was organized. These church records named the parents as Abraham Hebeisen and Margaretta Esther Muller, while on legal records they were by then called Abraham Havice and Esther Havice. We had never been able to find any Havice family entering on ship records, but when we looked for Hebeisen there they were! Records in York Co PA show the immigrant ancestor to be a Philip Hebeisen. My John Havice was son of Abraham and married Margaret Lawrence, daughter of Philip Lawrence, Jr. We have found no church or marriage records for either of them, although their first three children were apparently born in Beaver County.
