Hi all, I have heard a few different things. 1) Apparently this is something that HeritageQuest offers to libraries. And of course you have to be a card carrier to use it. 2) (MHO)That the people running it underestimated how fast people would find out about it! 3) That they are putting in the log on. 4) That if you contact Heritage to try and sign up yourself, they will tell you to access it thru your library or contact Genealogy.com. I am on Gen.com and do have access to the 1870 census but it was not indexed as of earilier this week. But they could have added it. I am trying to access that page at this moment and can't get to the page because it is to busy! I am going to wait a week or so and try again to get on. Consider yourself lucky if you got some good stuff out of it! I have also contacted my own library about the site. I am hoping they will put it on their site.
