Hello, Does anyone know the history of the Irwin-Irvin family of Rochester, PA? I have the information in the "History of Beaver County," but I need the generation before Judge Joseph Irwin (b 1797). Does anyone know if Joseph's father, also named Joseph, was a judge, too? I am trying to connect to the ancestors of a James F. Irvin (bc 1817), a steamboat captain in Louisville, KY. In his biography, it states that his father was a judge in Beaver County, PA. He was associated with a man named Moses Irwin (bc 1823, relationship unknown), also a steamboat captain, whom ran one of James' steamboats. Moses listed his birthplace as PA in the census. James' house is on the National Register and I am writing a book about the house. I would love to be able to include the genealogical information. Please email with any information.
