Dear Listers: I am helping my new son-in-law, Cliff, research his mother's family tree and have traced a line to your county. We are looking for further information on a Jacob Hackethorn/ Heckathorn b. 1744 Germany and known to be in Hanover Twp in the 1800 census and in the Ohio Twp in the 1810 census. In the 1820 census he is in Columbiana County, Ohio. His 12 children are believed to have been born in Frederick Co, MD between 1772 and 1788 then moved to PA then to OH. Does anyone have anything about his family while they were in Beaver County? Any bios or early settler stories, etc.? Thanking you in advance for your help.
