    3. The Kerr's in my Heckathorn book are Emeling Heckathorn (born 1844 and died 1871). Married 1865 William A. Kerr (born June 28, 1844 and died Nov. 19, 1923). William A. Kerr is the son of William and Sarah E. Kerr. He was a Civil War Veteran, Co. E. 100th Reg't Pa. Vol. Married 58 years to Emma Heckathorn. He married second, Mary A. McComb (born 1849 died 1922). Burried in Mount Hermon Union Cemetery, Slippery Rock Twp., Lawrence Co., Pa. Children: J. H. Kerr. -- Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Dean. -- Mrs Catherine L. Burns. -- Mrs Mary H. Bauman. -- Mrs Anna R. Corbin. -- Samuel J. Kerr. -- Sister: Mrs R. J. Kerr of Mercer, and two brothers, A. R. Kerr of New Castle and G. R. Kerr of Volant. (Per, Nov. 13, 1923 New Castle News.) Mrs Elizabeth Kerr Dean died 1937. There are some Kerr Obituary's and grandchildren that seem to all come from the Emma Heckathorn - William Kerr line. If you need more on the Kerr's I can provide what I have but it will be a week or more before I can get to it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The best that I can figure Emma is the Daughter of David Heckathorn born Sept 29, 1798. Other siblings were: 1. Catherina, born Mar. 15, 1826. 2. Mary "Polly" born June 22, 1828 3. Jacob, bapt. April 16, 1831 4. Emeline, born 1844. I am going to stop here because I probably have Emeline twith the wrong Heckathorn. The book I have is not indexed and it is hard to follow. If you are interested I can try again to do a better job.
