Hi to the list, My name is Pat Stano-Carpenter and I am new to your list. I'm researching the siblings of Oliver Cunningham with the hopes of finding information on the parents. This is my brick wall and I would appreciate anyone's input with a direction or suggestion for further search. Here is some of the information I have that came from family history and researching Beaver, PA. Parents: May be Thomas Cunningham. Spouse: Rachel ?. The name of Rachel is listed in her son, Oliver Cunningham's will. Siblings of Oliver Cunningham, b. 1799, Lancaster, PA, d. 5-29-1859, Richmond, MO Margaret, lived in No. Sewicky, OH Cynthia, Nathaniel lived in or near Beaver, PA and is said to have been a farmer. Smith Cunningham, b. 1-10-1804, d. ukwn m. Cynthia Hemphill, dau of Joseph Hemphill. Smith was a physician. He had a practice with his older cousin, Oliver Cunningham. Also, he "was one of the founders of Beaver County Medical Society". (History of Beaver County, Pg. 375) Thomas Cunningham, b. 2-21-1800, d. 9-29-1865, Beaver, PA m. Margaret Hemphill, youngest dau of Judge Joseph Hemphill. Margaret d. 11-23-1903, Beaver, PA. Hon. Thomas Cunningham was first a lawyer and then a judge. He was "admitted to the bar of Beaver County, March 4, 1835". (History of Beaver County, pg. 345) Rachel, another cousin, niece or daughter??? Oliver, older cousin, also a physician. Spouse: unkwn. From book HISTORY OF BEAVER COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA 1888 Drs. Oliver and Smith Cunningham, two physicians who were cousins, came to Beaver prior to 1832....Oliver had been skiff builder in Pittsburgh...Smith and his brother came from Ohio...Oliver was two or three years the earlier ... Dr. Smith Cunningham was followed by his brothers Robert, Thomas and Nathaniel. Drs. Oliver and Smith died in Beaver (no dates). Robert studied medicine, practiced in North Sewickly Twp.
