    3. My name is Charles Sands. I have been searching my family tree for some time now. My people come from Moon,Green, and Raccoon Twps. Some of them are buried at the Presbyterian Church in Moon Twp. I was down there a few years ago. I have been looking for GGG Grandfather Thomas Sands. His wife was Elizabeth . She passed away 12-18-1884. I was told that she was buried in that same Church, although I did not find her grave. According to the 1810 census, Thomas lived in Shenango Twp. in Beaver Co. I cannot find where that was at in Beaver Co. If anyone Can help me My E-mail Address is [email protected]

    3. Hello Charles: I am always pleased to see those familiar phrases that are a striking give-a-way that the person is from somewhere around Beaver County. That is: "I was down there a few years ago". It is always "down there" or "up there" and the writer rarely states where it is that they were "down there" or "up there" from. It is a dead give-away...you are definitely from the area. (Just kidding you a little..I do the same thing!) Shenango Twp. is now in Lawrence County, PA I have two booklets that list information many have found useful. I don't know if they will be of help to you or not. 1) I have a listing of Beaver Co. Marriages between 1830-1873 that were announced in the local newspapers there. I find Andrew SANDS (Raccoon twp.) married to Suzana Heath (Raccoon Twp.) by Thomas W. Ayers, Esq. on 1 Jun 1849. Also, I find an M. BOARDING (Pittsburgh) married to an M. SANDS (No twp. listed) by Rev. S. Hair on 31 Dec 1846. Also, I find Jacob HOOK (Ohio Twp.) married to Martha SANDS (Moon Twp) by John Kerr, Esq. on 17 Nov 1830. 2) I have a booklet listing Delayed Birth Registrations of records of birth from 1872 to 1905. These have a lot of information on them. I have a John Sylvester SANDS, Docket #2, Page #213. If he is in your line and you want to get a copy get back to me and I will tell you how to do that. Hope this helps. Bob Reese, Santee, CA (Email: [email protected]) Transplanted Beaver County-ite. I haven't been "Back There" since 1995. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Sands" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 4:21 PM Subject: [PABEAVER-L] First posting > My name is Charles Sands. 3. It is with great sadness that I inform the list of the death early this morning of Nancy Lindemann. Nancy was a past president of the Beaver County Genealogical Society and the driving force behind the society for many years. If you have ever mailed a query to the society or if you have ever visited the BCGS website, you have seen the fruits of Nancy's labor. She was a native Beaver Countian and an avid genealogist. Nancy was a great believer in the power of the computer and owned one of the very first personal computers available to the public. She was a graduate of Geneva College and the mother of three boys and a grandmother several times over. She will be greatly missed. Alice Kern

    3. Alice: I am sorry to hear of the passing of such a great lady. Please convey my most sincere condolences to the family of Nancy Lindemann. I have tentatively planned a trip to Beaver Valley in the summer of 2003 and one thing on my agenda was to visit the Society and meet Nancy and thank her for all of the help she has given me in the past few years. It was through her that I joined the Society. Undoubtedly, she will be greatly missed around there. Thanks for keeping us outside of the local area informed.
